ASSIGNMENT DETAILS: For next week's news feature, I'm going to need a couple different photos. I'm writing about the (lack of) planning for schools in the impending ABLA redevelopment. I'll need a shot of a shuttered school at the corner of Throop and Taylor called Riis School. Also, a photo of a parent named Adourthus McDowell standing inside or in front of nearby Smyth School. (Adourthus is only reachable by cell phone, and he hasn't set up his voice mail. So you either reach him or you don't. I had to keep calling for a couple days before he finally answered. If you all can't manage to catch up with him, the story will certainly survive. I'd like to get the shot, though, if it's possible.) The third photo I'll need is of St. Ignatius veep John Chandler, perhaps standing in front of the school's impressive and preppy facade.
