Death Valley National Park in California. Home to lowest elevation in North America and other wonders of immense beauty.

The last section, the mud section, of the Mad Mud Run in the Providence neighborhood of Las Vegas, NV from May 21st, 2011. The total run was 4.6 miles capped off with about 20 yards of crawling though mud with crowds cheering and booing, (booing if the competitor didn't get really into the mud).

The Paria River Canyon including some of the narrows and Buckskin Gulch. This area is located in southern Utah and northern Arizona and contains the longest slot canyon in the Southwestern United States and possibly the world.

Sloan Canyon in the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area which is part of the North McCullough Wilderness area outside Las Vegas, NV. Sloan Canyon is home to many petroglyphs and pieces of rock art created by native cultures from the Archaic to historic era.
